Yacca Library
The Yacca Library is jointly funded by Queensland Health and the Mount Isa Centre for Rural and Remote Health (MICRRH). The Library provides access
to information for all health professionals and health students in the District. It has a collection of approximately 3,000 books, 30 print journals,
a growing number of DVDs and Videos, and is an access point for several electronic databases such as Medline, CINAHL, UptoDate and AustHealth, and a large range of
full-text journals online. Queensland Health employees can search the catalogue of the Queensland Health library network via the intranet.
There are 3 computers in the Library for the use of clients. One provides access to the Queensland Health intranet, one to the websites of MICRRH and JCU, and one to the internet in general.

Clients may borrow up to 4 items from the general book and video collection at a time. Journals are not for loan but clients have access to free
photocopying facilities.Access to the collections of other libraries is available via the Australian Inter-Library Loan Network.
The Library provides a Literature Search service where clients can request a Librarian-mediated search, or alternatively, the Librarian can provide training in how to do searches.

8.30 - 5.00 Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
8.30 - 6.00 Tuesday
