MICRRH provides an extensive range of resources for its teaching and researching programs.
All of the resources are used by all disciplines in common with MICRRH's multidisciplinary environment.
Information technology includes up to date communications technologies and support, dedicated computer laboratory and student accomodation with broadband Internet access, Videoconferencing and teleconferencing facilities in lecture/meeting rooms and Satellite broadcast receiving facilities. Remote teaching and accommodation sites in Longreach, Richmond and Cloncurry are currently supported and expansion is planned to other communities over the next few years with submissions currently before the Commonwealth.
An excellent library facility with training in literature searches, evidence based medicine, on-line resource access provided by the Yacca Library staff in concert with Qld Health and JCU libraries.
MICRRH has a skills laboratory for the training of health professionals and students in procedural and emergency skills. This includes a SimMan funded by Xstrata in 2005, APLS Mannequin and other equipment to the value of some $180,000 in a well maintained and managed program.
The Buildings include the main facility, Yacca Library and Tarabada House, where the research unit is housed. There are 5 spacious lecture rooms which can be opened up for larger meetings of up to 60 people in comfort, or more if they are well acquainted.
