Journal Club
The primary goal of the Journal Club is to assist in promoting and sustaining
a learning culture among Health Professionals in the District. It is intended
that the club be problem focused with emphasis placed on health issues relevant
to practice in this area.
Ten sessions of one hour duration are scheduled for the year with sessions normally held on the fourth Friday of each month. Each session begins with a brief overview of a particular facet of Evidence Based Practice which is followed by either presentation or discussion of a particular issue, or group discussion of research findings that best address the chosen issue. Time is allowed at the end of each session for participants to suggest clinical queries or issues they have had in their practice which could be considered for discussion at a following meeting.
