Overview
I arrived in Australia in 1995 after 2 years as a Research Fellow with the Immunopharmacology Group, University Medicine, in Southampton. I have now worked in regional and rural North Queensland for 11 years and completed a variety of work including research projects (recruitment and retention of general practitioners in rural and remote areas; patient behaviour in seeking after hours primary health care and the experiences of rural generalists etc); statewide evaluation consultancies (after hours primary health care; RFDS Indigenous Health Liaison Officers etc). I have also been involved in teaching medical students at JCU in the subjects of: Rural and Remote Tropical Health (RRITH); Epidemiology; Tissue, Injury and Neoplasia (TIN) and International Health..
