General Information
Tambo, located on the Landsborough Highway was setteled in 1863 and is considered to be the oldest town in central Queensland.

Climate
With mild winter adverages of 12 degrees Celsius and mild summers (compaired to most outback towns) of 36 degrees Celsius. Nature lovers who enjoys the sights of native flora, fauna and brilliant wildflowers, the months of August to September is a great time to visit the area.

Points of interest
Tambo has reminants of an ancient Aboriginal Culture and sites of early European settlements that lead to the pastoral industry starting grazing in 1860,s. The pastrol industry still remains the basis of Tambo's economy today.
