General Information
Dajarra was once the biggest cattle trucking centre in the world. Noawadays, it's a sleepy little outback post.

Learn some of the aboriginal culture here - this area has a rich aboriginal heritage and the old culture is kept up, with the aboriginal language taught in school and the old ways passed on to the children. Visit the Black Mountain aboriginal carvings and paintings, about 20km from town.

Climate
During the summer months Dajarra has two types of weather, Hot and Wet, and Hot and Dry. It is usually the latter. Dajarra averages 9.5 hours of sunshine a day and the annual rainfall of 450 mm tumbles down in the 45 wet days a year. Summer night-time temperatures rarely fall below the mid-twenties, while the daytime temperatures climb regularly towards the forties. The winter dry season will usually find the skies painted a brilliant blue, accompanying daytime temperatures in the mid-twenties and mild nights averaging 11°C.
