Xstrata Community Relations Representatives with MICRRH's Director and Executive Officer
Dr Dennis Pashen, Mr Scott Lumsden, Dr Stephanie De La Rue and Lynette Gregor of MICRRH met with representatives of Xstrata Community
Relations, Jemma Schweikert, Melissa Trim and Justine Scarsi recently to discuss the progress of a partnership established
through Xstratas' funding of Simman and Simbaby and the Mount Isa Community Medical Centre.
Discussions included the successes of Simman and Simbaby in Emergency Department scenarios and the future plans to make these educational tools available to outlying Rural and Remote Health Professionals in our region.
Mayor Ron McCullough joined the meeting to report on the progress of the Mount Isa Community Medical Centre. The Centre is expected to be completed in September 2007.
