issues in the rural and remote setting.
Our academic staff is involved in research in these fields which helps inform our program and target our education. The academic staff work in their respective health disciplines which adds to MICRRHs ability to deliver education in the context that the information will be applied.
Programs
MICRRH provides locally developed programs, facilitates programs for other providers and delivers courses from our main campus at James Cook University.
More information is available under the individual discipline sections in this website.
During the year we provide both multi-disciplinary and inter-professional health education activities.
The bi-annual MICRRH conference is also an important date to mark on your education calendar. Vsit MICRRH Conferences & Workshops website for information on MICRRH hosted seminars, workshops and conferences.
The procedural Skills Laboratory provides the opportunity for the health workforce to practice skills using simulated scenarios.
Self directed learning is facilitated by access to Yacca Library staffed by librarians who can assist with information retrieval and database searching.
Our range of education programs are continually being developed so regular checks at the website will keep you abreast of new topics and resources.
